Course Objective: This course is designed to provide the essential knowledge of the chemical and physical properties of water to advanced unifying concepts of the community ecology and ecosystem relationships as found in continental waters.
Course Outcome: Students will be able to understand elementary principles of hydromorphology and hydrogeochemisty of fundamental importance for the distribution and abundance of aquatic organisms, using holistic approach of freshwater assessment, developing skills in both field protocols and laboratory methods in freshwater ecology.
